The Deepest Practice

Ash Memorials

Transforming the physical remains of grief into a lasting testament of love, memory, and presence on the canvas.

The Intent

There is a weight to grief that words cannot hold. An Ash Memorial is not merely a painting; it is a collaborative ritual of honoring what was lost and cementing what remains.

By integrating cremation ash directly into the paint and texture of the canvas, we create a physical, tangible resting place for memory. This process is handled with the utmost reverence, absolute transparency, and deep respect for the emotional safety of everyone involved.

The Process & Chain of Custody

We understand the profound trust required to hand over something so sacred. Our process is designed to ensure you feel secure, informed, and respected at every step.

1. The Conversation

We begin with a consultation to understand who we are honoring. We discuss colors, energy, and the story you wish to tell. There is no pressure; this space is yours.

2. Secure Custody

We provide clear instructions for safely packaging and shipping the ashes. Upon receipt, they are stored in a dedicated, secure sanctuary space until the painting begins. You are notified the moment they arrive.

3. The Creation

Joshua paints the memorial with intention and focus. We document the process respectfully, ensuring you can witness the exact moment the ash is integrated into the piece.

4. The Return

The finished piece is carefully cured, sealed, and packaged. Any remaining ash not used in the painting is returned to you securely alongside the completed canvas.
